Position Title: Laboratory Assessment for Integrative and Functional Nutrition Instructor

The Saybrook University School of Mind-Body Medicine is seeking an adjunct instructor for the following class:
MBM 5675 -- Laboratory Assessment for Integrative and Functional Nutrition - 3 credits
Catalog Course Description
This course will introduce students to advanced nutritional diagnostics and laboratory assessment. The course will introduce the assessment of traditional lab reports from an integrative and functional nutrition perspective, and highlight the role of laboratory assessment in detecting core clinical imbalances and subclinical defects that affect optimal health and healing. Students will learn to analyze and evaluate laboratory results from an integrative and functional nutrition perspective and use them as a tool for developing a nutrition care plan using case-study examples.
Residential Conference included.
This course will be taught initially at a two day residential class, and continued online, at a distance, so the instructor can live anywhere in the US.
- A graduate degree, at the master’s or doctoral level.
- Academic coursework in nutrition, functional medicine approaches, and in laboratory assessment.
- Teaching experience.
- Clinical experience in functional nutrition and/or dietetics desired.
