San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) March 27, 2013

Saybrook University is presenting a three day workshop in Lifelong Sexual Health, in Kirkland, Washington, April 5-7, 2013, at our Seattle campus, 4010 Lake Washington Blvd. NE Suite 300. This workshop will allow students to explore the mystery of human sexuality, as well as exploring their own sexual identity and developing a sense of what it means to bring mindfulness to sexuality. The workshop will be taught by Dr. John Thoburn, a licensed psychologist in the state of Washington and associate professor of clinical psychology in Seattle Pacific University's graduate psychology program.

This course will help students:

  • Explore their own sexual identity (including family of origin beliefs/values, experiences, and cultural diversity) in order to be a healing presence for others' sexuality.
  • Explore the mystery of human sexuality as a doorway into what it means to be human.
  • Explore the erotic as a means to discover and integrate our shadow and to claim the full range of our humanity.
  • Develop a sense of what it means to bring mindfulness to sexuality, exploring the question of what mindful sexuality is and why it might be important to us and our clients.
