Research Center
Saybrook’s Research Center is a community of scholars and reflective-practitioners
committed to developing the humanistic tradition and exploring its impact on
every aspect of human life. Members of the Research Center come from a wide
range of fields including psychology, politics, international relations, religion,
development, business, and health sciences. The Center is a home for scholars
pursuing their own projects and collaborating with researchers at other academic
institutions. A core community of researchers provides a stable base for the
Center and annual appointments are available for scholars wishing to join the
Center for limited periods of time to concentrate on a particular project.
Grants can be housed at the Saybrook Research Center and the full resources
of the Saybrook Library are made available to members. The Research Center
sponsors a series of evening lectures at which visiting scholars present their
on-going work.
Currently, the Director of the Research Center is Lorne M. Buchman, Ph.D. The
core community currently consists of Robert Horn, and others.
