Barbara Haag-Heitman

Barbara Haag-Heitman, PhD, is an independent organizational consultant, focusing on enhancing clinical performance and peer review in health care. She also serves on the adjunct faculty for the College of Nursing, at the Cardinal Stritch College, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has published three books, on Peer Review in Nursing: Principles for Successful Practice (Jones and Bartlett, 2011), Guide for Establishing Shared Governance (American Nursing Credentialing Center, 2010), and Clinical Practice Development Using Novice to Expert Theory (Aspen, 1999). She has also published articles on women’s health, organizational team building, and challenges of early hospital discharge.
