School: Psychology and Interdisciplinary Inquiry

Dan Hocoy, Ph.D., is Associate Provost of Saybrook University.

As Associate Provost, he oversees academic and student affairs, new
program development and innovations in pedagogy and delivery formats. He
is also responsible for strategic initiatives at the university, serving
as the liaison to external partners and Saybrook's Board of Trustees.

Dan plays a primary role in accreditation and strategic planning efforts,
and serves on the University Council and the Academic Leadership Team of
the school.

He is a licensed clinical psychologist and author to numerous publications
that intersect art, culture, and psychology. His dissertation was the
first study to examine the psychological impact of apartheid in South
Africa and was solicited by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission to
guide its processes. He likes mangoes and shellfish and is currently
obsessed with developing mastery over the forces of synchronicity.
