Faculty Profile: Jason Dias

Jason Dias

School: Psychology and Interdisciplinary Inquiry

Hello, all.

My name is Jason Dias. You can call me Jason or Dr. Dias. I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a beautiful city nestled up against the Rocky Mountains, though I grew up in Great Britain. It is quite a change of scenery.

My background is complicated but uniquely qualifies me to be me. I have served in the United States military (USAF), worked retail and food service jobs while going to college, helped adults with developmental disabilities at a number of levels, worked in a psychiatric hospital, and recently finished my Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree.

My most favorite experience of late has been the chance to travel in China. There were a number of conferences on Existential Psychology, a sort of East/West dialogue that was a tremendous growth experience. I had the chance not only to present on a number of subjects but also to listen to Chinese scholars and make friends that will last my lifetime. Of course Hong Kong is an exciting city, Suchou is beautiful, and Nanjing in indescribable, but it is the people in these places that made the experience matter so much to me.

Along the way, I have discovered that my goals in life include helping people attain their personal education goals. Let me know if and how I may be of service.
