Faculty Profile: Kirsten Klinghammer

Kirsten Klinghammer

School: Mind-Body Medicine

I've always been an avid reader and researcher, and when I started working in libraries in 1991 at the Humanities, Social Sciences & Education Library at Purdue University, I used to describe my position in Reference as "being paid to play Trivial Pursuit". I find it a joy to ferret out information, and to support others as they learn how to refine their research needs, and to find everything from the essentials to the hidden gems they're seeking.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from Purdue University, and a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana. My experience includes teaching, collection development, reference services, administration, grant-writing, and outreach. I value thoughtful collaboration with colleagues and students to support their information needs and am an enthusiastic advocate - and participant - in the quest for lifelong learning. I pleased to have the opportunity to journey together!
