Bio:
Valerie Bentz, PhD, is a Professor in the School of Human and Organizational Development, Fielding Graduate School. She is author or co-author of five books, including a textbook on Transformative Phenomenology (Lexington Books, 2008) and Mindful Inquiry in Social Research (Sage, 1998). She was a member of the steering committee for the Positive Aging Conference (2010) in Santa Barbara, and provided a keynote on “Aging as an Opportunity for Consciousness Development,” at the National Positive Aging Conference in 2007."
