The depths of the human psyche - its symbols, mysteries, and inner myths - were defined by Carl Jung in the early 20th century. In an increasingly mechanistic and shallow society his work has become more relevant, more radical, and more powerful than ever.
Today, scholarship based on Jung's insights is increasingly embraced as essential to those who would chart a path through the disorder of our time.
Saybrook's Jungian Studies programs were developed in partnership with the C.G. Jung Educational Center in Houston, and are directed by James Hollis, PhD, noted Jungian analyst and author. They are designed for clinicians and other students who desire to deepen their understanding of the dynamics of the psyche, add a depth dimension to their work or explore psychodynamics as a catalyst for personal growth.

Students will study Jung's original work, as well as almost a century of additional research covering a wide range of applied fields such as developmental psychology, literature, and the social sciences. The focus is both practical and interdisciplinary, allowing students to take Jung's basic insights, and the subsequent research, and apply them to other aspects of human experience from family dynamics to law.
The program's weekend residential seminars are a distinctive and integral feature of the program. They are offered in Houston with the remainder of coursework completed at a distance.
