Non-Degree Options

Certificates: Saybrook offers 19 certificates to non-degree students and to some matriculated students as part of, or in addition to, their degree studies. Admission to a certificate program is required. Current degree students should consult the Registrar's Office or their faculty advisor/mentor to see whether their degree program accommodates a certificate option.

Individual Courses: Non-degree students can also enroll for individual courses taking up to 9 credits at a time. Each 3-credit course costs approximately $3,000 plus a $1,000 enrollment fee per semester.

Non-degree students are considered enrolled when the completed application form, official transcript indicating graduation with a bachelor's degree, and course fee have been received. The Admissions Office will send a confirmation. Students need to apply for non-degree study prior to the start of the semester. Some courses taken as a non-matriculated student may be applied to a degree program. Admission to a degree program is separate from enrollment as a non-matriculated (non-degree seeking) student.

Workshops: Non-degree students, current students, alumni, and others are also eligible to take non-credit workshops, some of which offer CEUs. Each workshop has its own registration process, but there are no admissions requirements.

Project X: Project X courses are offered for credit to current students and as a non-credit opportunity for others. Project X has its own registration process.
