The Counseling specialization in Clinical Psychology includes two curriculum components: Core and Professional. The Core curriculum integrates the development of membership and leadership skills and the understanding of self with the Counseling Professional curriculum, a dynamic, experiential-based training program blending systems counseling theory, hands-on practice and continual feedback. From the outset, students are immersed in theory and practice regarding the relationship between therapist and client in counseling and the relational life of clients outside of counseling.
