Saybrook's Online Financial Aid System

Saybrook is pleased to announce that Saybrook's on line financial aid system Net Partner, the internet based component of our financial aid software, the College Board product Powerfaids, is available for use.

You may access Powerfaids Net Partner on the Internet at rhea.saybrook.edu/NetPartnerStudent. Your Netpartner WebID (logon) and PIN have been sent to you. Please keep this information in a safe place. To keep your financial aid information secure, please do not share your NetPartner WebID or PIN with anyone other than the staff of the Saybrook Financial Aid Office.

Please note that all continuing borrowers at Saybrook Graduate School will be expected to complete the financial aid application process within NetPartner. Net Partner will allow financial aid applicants to complete most of the financial aid process on line, including viewing the financial aid record, downloading required documents, viewing and responding to the award letter, requesting a Federal Stafford or alternative loan, designating a lender, etc.

We encourage you to review the EdFund Stafford and Private Loan portals to access lender sites in order to review terms and conditions of lending and to apply for Federal Stafford and alternative loans.

Filing Financial Aid

Financial aid records should be available to view beginning sometime in February of the year preceding enrollment. If you have not yet filed the FAFSA, please do so as soon as you have prepared your federal tax return but no later than June 1 if your eligibility renews Fall and December 1 if your eligibility renews Spring. If preparation of your tax return is delayed, please file using estimated tax data and correct your application once your tax return is completed. You may file the FAFSA electronically at www.fafsa.ed.gov www.fafsa.ed.gov using Saybrook School Code G21206.

The Financial Aid Office will advise you via e-mail when your Award letter is ready to review on line. When you receive e-mail notification that your Award Letter is ready for review, please log in to NetPartner to accept, decline or modify the awards offered to you. In addition, you may review the status of your application at anytime.

Questions on special circumstances formerly included on the Saybrook Supplemental Financial Aid Application have been moved to NetPartner. In most circumstances the paper form will no longer be required.

What to do First after LogIn

If your file is complete and you have been awarded the ApplyOnline tab will be accessible. First view your awards on the Awards tab. Then, go to ApplyOnLine to respond to your award offer. Where numerical entries are required, use integers only with no decimal points, commas, dollar signs or other punctuation. Answer all the questions. If the question does not apply to you, choose "Not Applicable" as the response. Review Messages for further information about the aid you have been offered. Once you have successfully submitted the response to your award a successful submission message will appear at the bottom of the screen. If there is an error, an error message in red will appear next to the field containing the error. Correct the error and submit again. Once you have successfully transmitted your responses, the data entry fields in ApplyOnLine will be grayed out and you can make no further changes. At this point, you have completed the on line application process in NetPartner. The Financial Aid Office will then review your responses, update your record prior to submitting your loan request(s) to your lender(s) of choice. Allow 24-72 hours for your responses to be reviewed and recorded. Then, review Messages to see if any further steps must be completed outside NetPartner. You will also be notified by the Fin Aid Office via e-mail whether any further action is required at the time your loan request is approved and submitted to your lender by the Saybrook Financial Aid Office. Once your loan request has been submitted, you may view the current status of your loan record at www.elmresources.com www.elmresources.com. If your file is incomplete the OnLineAwards tab is not available--go Your Documents first to see what is missing. In addition, please review Messages for further instructions. Supplemental information about loan history, on line forms access, your loan awards, etc, is available in the areas designated within NetPartner.

NetPartner will provide 24/7 access to financial aid records similar to that provided to student records by Saybrook SMS. We hope this system is helpful to you.
