Information Competency and Library Use Courses 1006 & 1026

This library research course is to be taken by all incoming students. It aims to teach students how to define a research topic; determine the information requirements for the research question, problem, or issue; locate and retrieve relevant information; use technological tools for accessing information; evaluate information; organize and synthesize information; understand ethical, legal and socio-political issues surrounding information and information technology; and judge the product and the process.
