Dissertations

Saybrook has two databases and both are accessible from the database page.

1. Saybrook's Online Library Catalog of Dissertations contains the bibliographic description, subject headings and notes about methodology of all dissertations and proposals. Masters theses and projects are also described in this catalog. Proposals and master's projects can be downloaded in PDF format. Dissertations and master's theses not available through Digital Dissertations can be borrowed. Fill out the form by clicking on the link below and send to library@saybrook.edu.

2. ProQuest Dissertations and Theses database (formerly Digital Dissertations)

This is a database containing information about doctoral dissertations and master's theses from over 1,000 North American graduate schools and European Universities. Its printed version is known as Dissertation Abstracts International (DAI). The database contains material from 1861 to the present. Prior to 1996 the database only included the bibliographic description and abstract of a dissertation or theses. Since then many universities have made all their dissertations available full text. Nearly all of Saybrook dissertations and master's theses are included in this database.
