Saybrook University is a private, non-profit, and WASC-accredited leader in distance education. The University is comprised of three colleges: the Graduate College of Mind-Body Medicine, the Graduate College in Psychology and Humanistic Studies, which offers degrees in psychology, human science, and organizational systems, and LIOS Graduate College (Leadership Institute of Seattle). The school has offered masters and doctoral programs at a distance for more than 30 years. The learning model includes a blend of distance learning through individually mentored and cohort-based formats, increasingly delivered in an online environment, and residential conferences.

The University is seeking a Web Technician with experience as detailed below and the desire to learn and expand your skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with the creation and design of content
  • Regular maintenance of Saybrook’s online resource
  • Ensure that content is correctly formatted, and other basic up keep
  • Collaborate with Webmaster, other staff and faculty regarding content and visual design of various web resources
  • Assist with development in Drupal including theming, CCK, Panels, Views and module modification
  • Collaborate with Webmaster on design and implementation of new online resources
  • Assist Saybrook staff with Webinar presentations
  • Help desk support for web-related issues
  • Collaborate with IT on hardware/software issues affecting the web resources.
  • Develop capacity to backup Webmaster as required for more advanced activities.

Skills, Knowledge Required

  • 2-4 Years web design experience
  • Ability to hand coding HTML, JavaScript, PHP, CSS, SQL, jQuery
  • Experience with Drupal is a must
  • Experience with Moodle, CAS, LDAP is a plus
  • Experience with graphics programs such as Photoshop or Fireworks
  • Familiarity with SEO

Salary Range: DOE.
