Disbursement
Your Financial Award Letter
Your award letter will confirm the financial aid that you are being offered. It includes the types and amount of financial aid that you are eligible to receive. When reviewing your award letter, keep in mind that your loan period covers both Fall and Spring Semesters unless you are enrolled in the MBM Program.
How will funds be disbursed?
Federal Direct Loans and Institutional Scholarships are disbursed in equal disbursements for each semester included in the loan period. The lender (Department of Education) will deliver your loan funds electronically to the Business Office. Once funds are disbursed to the Business Office, tuition and fees are deducted from the loan period and any remaining balance is made available to students in the form of a school check or electronic deposit. To set up Direct deposit of credit balances please contact the Saybrook Business Office, or download the direct deposit request form from our Saybrook website, and submit it to the business office for processing. Other types of aid are disbursed as directed by the funding agency. if you have direct deposit questions, billing and or payment questions:
