Brian Kolodiejchuk
Brian Kolodiejchuk
Graduated College of Psychology and Humanistic Studies Alumni 2001Upon Mother Teresa’s death, Father Brian Kolodiejchuk was appointed Director of the Mother Teresa Center in Calcutta, which organizes the community that has formed around her spiritual teachings. He was a natural choice, as he had worked alongside her for nearly 20 years, tending to the needs of those who tend to the poor and indigent.
His psychology PhD from Saybrook, earned in 2001, helps inform his work in this spiritual community – and his spiritual work contributes to an even deeper understanding of human potential.
Father Brian is the author of Come Be My Light, a bestselling collection of Mother Teresa’s private writings that set in motion an international conversation on the nature of religious faith and doubt in the 21st century. It has been compared to The Confessions of St. Augustine and Thomas Merton'sThe Seven Story Mountain as an autobiography of spiritual depth, and called “a written ministry of the interior life for Mother Teresa.”
