The Ph.D. in Mind-Body Medicine: Integrative and Functional Nutrition Specialization program prepares students to integrate nutrition and mind-body skills into treating a spectrum of health conditions. Courses include:

- Foundations of Integrative and Functional Nutrition
- Advanced Nutritional Biochemistry: Macronutrients
- Advanced Nutritional Biochemistry: Micronutrients
- Advanced Nutritional Physiology
Acquiring the knowledge and skills for work in chronic pain, palliative care, and integrative hospice services, graduates can apply their skills to areas where nutritional and mind-body approaches have been demonstrated to be clinically effective.
Within the scope of their licenses and certifications, graduates will be prepared to offer clinical treatment augmented with a variety of complementary therapies and integrative medicine interventions. In addition to earning their doctorate degree, students can earn nationally-recognized certificates in health and wellness coaching.
Prepared for academic jobs in universities, colleges, and medical schools, graduates may also contribute to advancing the field through ground-breaking research that merges the fields of nutrition and integrative medicine.
