‘Reimagining Work to Create The Responsible Society’ author to share thoughts on work, collaboration and society.

Join Saybrook University on Tuesday, August 27th, 2013, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at The HUB Seattle, for a presentation and dialogue with special guest, Carol Sanford. In her presentation, Re-imagining Work to Create The Responsible Society: From ‘Shareholder’ Ownership to ‘Shared-Owner’ Ownership, Ms. Sanford will share her current thinking about the ways we structure work, how we create collaborative cultures, and the impact these decisions have in society.
She will analyze such issues as:
- Why even the most progressive, mission-driven companies still replicate hierarchical structures and alienating organizational cultures.
- Why, even with access to powerful technologies to enable collaboration, we haven’t yet learned how to truly collaborate.
- What are the blind spots that keep us replicating old patterns.
- What is required to fully embody in our professional and organizational practices the most current understanding of complex living systems.

About Carol Sanford
Carol Sanford is founder and CEO of The Responsible Entrepreneur Institute, an education and research community for “big promise entrepreneurs” who want to change industry, social systems, cultural paradigms, and governance infrastructure through business.
