Audra Skukauskaite is a Professor of Educational Research and a research consultant for national and international clients. She has been teaching research design and qualitative research methodology for the past 13 years. Her research interests include research learning, transparency in research design and methodology, developments and issues in qualitative research, as well as faculty and student learning of research. She has published articles and chapters on transcribing, video and textual analysis, ethnography, qualitative interviewing, analysis of research, and research epistemologies as well as work on the impact of educational policies on teachers. As a methodologist, she has collaborated with colleagues and students on publications focusing on a variety of topics, including invention education, science learning, immigrant student experiences, teacher burnout, and others. Her methodological expertise is in qualitative research methodologies, particularly discourse-based studies (from a sociolinguistic lens), ethnography, conversational interviewing, and a systematic integration of qualitative research methodologies such as narratives, case studies, and arts-based approaches. She has taught seminars on ethnography, interviewing, discourse analysis, narrative analysis, qualitative research, action research, and writing for publication.

Dr. Skukauskaite is a member of a number of editorial boards of research journals in the U.S. and in Lithuania. As an active member of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), she currently serves as a program co-chair for the Measurement and Research Methodology Division D. Dr. Skukauskaite has taught research at master's and doctoral levels in public and private universities in Texas and California and as a visiting professor in Lithuania.
