Dr. Atanassova earned her Ph.D. in Management from HEC Paris. Prior to pursuing an academic career, she was an affirmed HR professional. As an HR Manager in a large European telecommunications company, she was responsible for developing and implementing various strategic initiatives, such as job grading, performance appraisals, organizational restructuring, competence models, and leadership development programs.
Dr. Atanassova's research interests focus on organization management theories. She is currently investigating social networking strategies as a response to professional demands and individual goals, as well as social capital outcomes of social network configurations. Her research has been presented at major management academic conferences, such as The Academy of Management and European Group for Organization Studies. Dr. Atanassova's teaching interests are in the field of organization theories and behavior, leadership development and research methods.
