Dr. Weissman earned her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Health from Florida International University (FIU) in 2018. She earned a Masters of Science (MS) degree from FIU's coordinated Dietetics and Nutrition Program in 2010. She became a Registered and Licensed Dietitian (RDN/LDN) in 2011 and worked in clinical, Bariatric, and outpatient dietetic settings before returning to school to pursue her PhD. Dr. Weissman comes from South Florida where she served as Co-President of the Broward Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (BAND) from 2012-2014. Dr. Weissman is well published and has given more than 20 presentations at state and national conferences. Dr. Weissman is a Full Time Faculty Member/Instructor at Keiser University where she has been developing and teaching courses in research methods, medical nutrition therapy, and management. Dr. Weissman has held several leadership positions in the community and currently serves as the Second Vice President of the Florida Public Health Association (FPHA).
