Kenneth Cloke, JD, LLM, PhD, has been an Arbitrator and Mediator for over thirty two years in labor management disputes, and is Director of the Center for Dispute Resolution and President and co-founder of Mediators Beyond Borders. He is a mediator, arbitrator, attorney, coach, consultant, and trainer, specializing in communication, negotiation, and resolving complex multi-party conflicts, including community, grievance and workplace disputes, collective bargaining negotiations, organizational and school conflicts, sexual harassment and discrimination lawsuits, and public policy disputes. He has done work in conflict resolution in many nations around the world and has designed preventive conflict resolution systems for organizations. Dr. Cloke is the author of many books, including: Mediating Dangerously: The Frontiers of Conflict Resolution; The Crossroads of Conflict: A Journey into the Heart of Dispute Resolution; and Conflict Revolution: Mediating Evil, War, Injustice, and Terrorism. He is also co-author (with Joan Goldsmith) of books including: Resolving Personal and Organizational Conflict: Stories of Transformation and Forgiveness, The Rise of Organizational Democracy; and Resolving Conflicts At Work: Ten Strategies For Everyone on the Job (3rd Ed.). He teaches law, mediation, history, political science, conflict studies, and urban studies. He served as an Administrative Law Judge for the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board and the Public Employment Relations board, a Factfinder for the Public Employment Relations Board, and a Judge Pro Tem for the Superios Court of Los Angeles.
