"To deny that we are reliant

"To deny that we are reliant on others seems almost delusional" there's no almost about it.

My guess is that narcissistic people don't feel good about themselves - were probably demeaned and/or ignored in childhood. Our culture still encourages this - despite much verbiage to the contrary.

I think by helping people focus on unmet needs it is possible to help them open to their situation and the others in it.
