About Saybrook University
A pioneer since the 1970s, Saybrook was one of the first U.S. institutions to adopt a hybrid online learning model in graduate education, helping students succeed and service their community without having to leave it. Saybrook approaches a holistic education with a belief in the inherent interconnectedness of all things. As scholar-practitioners, our faculty continue to question and offer alternatives to mainstream axioms, fostering positive social transformation. Students become part of this dynamic online learning community through our distance learning courses and engage in face-to-face instruction with experienced faculty at live residential conferences held at a variety of locations.
Saybrook University’s Integrative and Functional Nutrition programs go beyond basic dietetics to better understand the interconnectedness of health with other contextual factors, including environmental impact, physiological, psychology, and inherited gene makeup. Saybrook graduates go on to transform health care and nutritional sciences by treating their patients’ minds, bodies, and spirits. Current programs include M.S. in Integrative and Functional Nutrition, Ph.D. in Integrative and Functional Nutrition, and a Certificate in Integrative and Functional Nutrition.
