Partnering to Promote Holistic Health Care

Holistic yoga therapy instruction (including a classical array of Ayurvedic and evidence-based yogic techniques) and mind-body-spirit connection play an important part in integrative health care. With similar visions to reshape the future of health care, we aspire to make a lasting change with our formal academic partnership agreement.

This agreement will expand learning opportunities for both Saybrook and PYI students.

About Saybrook University

A pioneer since the 1970s, Saybrook was one of the first U.S. institutions to adopt a hybrid online learning model in graduate education, helping students succeed and serve their community without having to leave it. Saybrook approaches a holistic education with a belief in the inherent interconnectedness of all things. As scholar-practitioners, our faculty continue to question and offer alternatives to mainstream axioms—fostering positive social transformation. Students become part of this dynamic online learning community through our distance learning courses and engage in face-to-face instruction with experienced faculty including a biannual in-person community learning experience and/or term virtual learning experience conferences.

The College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences offers M.S. and Ph.D. programs that focus on mind-body, nutritional, and lifestyle-based approaches that are increasingly becoming an essential part of conventional health care. Treating the mind, body, and spirit of their clients, graduates find career advancement opportunities in fields such as health coaching, organizational consultation, education, research, and corporate wellness.
