Dr. Devorah Curtis serves as Department Chair of Mind-Body Medicine programs in the College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences at Saybrook University. Since 2012, she has been mentoring students, faculty, and fellows; developing curriculum, teaching courses, serving on doctoral dissertation committees; and participating in governance-related functions.
Before pursuing a career in academia, Dr. Curtis worked as a health and fitness consultant, sales and human resource partner in the pharmaceutical industry, behavioral analyst and leadership development consultant, and professional coach in integrative care and private practice. Her educational degrees include a BS in Applied Nutrition and MA and PhD in Psychology. Also, she is a certified pastoral counselor through the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA) and Board Certified Coach (BCC) through the Center for Credentialing and Education.
Dr. Curtis's primary research interest centers on applications of self-determination theory across professional and personal life domains.
