Biography

Dr. Adam Duberstein is a Core Faculty member in the Humanistic Clinical Psychology Department at Saybrook University. His research focuses on several areas, including ethical issues within psychology and psychotherapy; human-animal interaction; workplace bullying in higher education; the psychology of endocrine conditions; emerging and late adulthood development; political psychology; and teaching and learning in psychology.

Adam is an active member of both the American Psychological Association and the Michigan Psychological Association, where he is both the chairperson of the Licensing Committee and a board member of the MPA. In addition to his teaching responsibilities at Saybrook, Adam also has a small private psychology practice, Parallax Psychology Group, where he sees a variety of clients.

Dr. Duberstein holds both master's and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology. He has a master's degree in higher education and student affairs administration from The Ohio State University, and his bachelor's degree in English and psychology is from Earlham College. A qualitative researcher, he enjoys teaching and helping students to become excellent practitioners and scholars.
