After 25 years with Portland State University's Conflict Resolution Program, Amanda Singer, EdD (she/her/hers) has joined Portland State University's School of Music & Theater as an Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies. As part of a new interdisciplinary undergraduate program in Social Justice and the Arts, Dr. Singer's teaching and research interests focus on bridging divides through deliberative dialogue, engaging storytelling for social change, centering the arts as dynamic peacebuilding practice, recognizing artists as citizens, and cultivating imagination to possibilize a welcoming future
