Dr. Palmisano is a trained forensic and clinical psychologist, licensed in Connecticut and California. She has worked extensively with at risk and underserved populations including homeless mentally ill, incarcerated, dually diagnosed, and transgender individuals. Her expertise includes motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and cognitive processing therapy. Dr. Palmisano has expertise in psychological evaluation and testing. Her research has included a variety of work with incarcerated populations, recidivism, transgender individuals and within the field of attention and spectrum-related disorders. Dr. Palmisano has had the pleasure of teaching at the graduate level for the last 15+ years and has been honored to work with over 100 students as their dissertation chairs or committee members. She resides in Connecticut with her husband and three children and looks forward to any changes to new cultural and travel-related experiences
