David has a small clinical practice in Mind-Body Medicine focusing on a psycho-educational approach to emotionally influenced illnesses, including auto-immune diseases, chronic fatigue syndrome, and chronic pain.

He co-founded (with Bonnie Paul, Ph.D., fellow Saybrook graduate) the Freedom to Choose Project, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit that has helped thousands of incarcerated men and women live more peaceful and productive lives, including successfully returning to society when released from prison. David's service work, in addition to the Freedom to Choose Project, includes volunteering for the California Medical Reserve Corps, assisting Santa Barbara County Public Health in Covid-19 community immunizations.
