I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and recently graduated with my doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. I am also an undergrad from Penn State University and a major Penn State fan! (We are!).
In addition to teaching at Saybrook University, I work for a health insurance company in Pittsburgh and for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) as an On-site Health Coach. There, I provide health coaching to members and clients of the health plan and function as a subject matter expert for our department on tobacco use.
My certifications include National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBHWC), American College of Sport Medicine Exercise Physiologist (ACSM EP-C), Association for the Treatment of Tobacco Use and Dependence, National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice (ATTUD NCTTP), National Commission for Health Education Credentialing Certified Health Education Specialist (NCHEC CHES).
On a more personal note, I enjoy going to the gym and watching sports
