Kimberly Jayne, PhD, LPC (OR), LMHC (WA), LPCC (NM), NCC (she/they) joined the Counseling Program at Saybrook in 2021. Kimberly serves as the Program Coordinator for the PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. Before coming to Saybrook, Kimberly taught in the Counselor Education programs at Portland State University for 7 years and the University of New Mexico for 2 years. Her research and scholarship is focused on child-centered play therapy, LGBTQ children and youth, and person-centered theory. Kimberly is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S), a Certified Child-Centered Play Therapist-Supervisor/ Trainer, and a Certified Child-Parent Relationship Therapist-Supervisor/Trainer, and is certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). Kimberly is the founder and coordinator of a play therapy program providing free play therapy for preschool children and families and is the owner of a private practice focused on clinical and play therapy supervision, training, consultation, and counseling for adults and caregivers/parents.
