Biography

My name is Megan Ratcliffe. I am a proud newly hired core faculty for the Department of Business Administration. I am a lifelong Seattle resident, who also is a mom, partner, auntie, friend, activist, dancer, traveler, and life-long learner. I am a shepherd of human systems. I believe that the world is calling out for new ways to lead, manage and be, personally and professionally. Humanity is being challenged to heal, connect, and tackle ongoing complexities. It is important for people to learn how to suspend what they have known and understood to be true, to appreciate the experiences of others, so it can be seen how our stories are connected and we can work together to problem solve and adapt to continuous changes. Finding sustainable ways of being will require collaborative and difficult conversations. My values are rooted in supporting connections between people, ideas, impact and change. These connections help uncover and uplift the capacity and capabilities of people within teams, organizations, learning communities and life. These values provide leverage points for change and help create space for love, inquiry, reflection, connection, uncertainty, some good fun and knowing there is no right answer. My life is rich with fantastic family, including my adult children and my wonderful husband. I am blessed with a terrific community of support and a recent completion of a PhD in Managing Organizational Systems (May 2021) from Saybrook University - an excellent learning community
