Biography

Sandy (she/her) is a doctoral graduate of the Mind-Body Medicine program at Saybrook University. She earned her Master's degree in Integrative Health Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies and Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine. Sandy's academic interests encompass exploring the lived experiences of first-generation Asian American eldest daughters and discovering holistic ways of healing the mind, body, and spirit.

She is a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach and is certified in guided imagery and mindfulness applications.

Sandy holds dual positions as a program manager and volunteer facilitator at Akhila Health. She specializes in working with underserved women by empowering them through educational workshops that involve guided imagery, spirituality, mindfulness, and arts and crafts. She specifically assists women in identifying areas of stress and guides them in mind-body practices to manage their health and quality of life.

Sandy currently resides in California and enjoys reading, visiting cafes, and walking her dogs, Mac and Cheese.
