Biography

Dr. Kerri Felmlee is a licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Diabetes Educator and holds advanced certifications in adult weight management. She has served in multiple Oklahoma legislative committee positions as a contributing diabetes specialist, has spoken at many conferences-including the American Heart Association's annual Healthy Heart Summit, and has taught nutrition courses at the university level. Currently she has a private practice working with gastroenterologists/hepatologists that blend cutting-edge science with traditional wisdom to address the root cause of disease instead of merely symptoms. Dr. Felmlee deeply explores the genetic, biochemical, and lifestyle factors and how to leverage this data to direct personalized medical nutrition therapy plans that lead to improved patient outcomes. Her fundamental belief that led her to pursue dietetics is "Let food be thy medicine, and medicine thy food." Nutrition can be either the sustenance for optimal health and wellness, or promotion toward disease. Nowhere is this more acknowledged and rooted than integrative and functional medicine
