Partnering to Advance Integrative and Functional Nutrition Education
Saybrook and the IFNA are proud to partner to enhance the educational journey for aspiring integrative and functional nutrition practitioners. This partnership allows eligible IFNA students who wish to continue their graduate education to transfer credits to select Saybrook programs.
This agreement opens the door to continued academic growth, stronger professional credentials, and more meaningful impacts in integrative and functional nutrition.
How It Works
Students who complete 224 hours of IFNA Tracks 1-5, or who earn the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP) credential through successful completion of the board exam, will qualify for up to three transfer credits toward the following designated M.S. or Ph.D. degree programs within Saybrook’s College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences:
Additionally, IFNA students who complete a Saybrook degree qualify for the alumni tuition rate for any future Saybrook degree programs.
Note: All transfer of credit is based on an individual evaluation of student transcripts and may vary depending on program of study and how credits are applied toward degree completion.
About the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy
The Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy (IFNA) is one of the most respected functional nutrition training and mentoring programs in the industry. Founded by integrative medicine leaders, IFNA prepares clinicians to meet the growing demand for evidence-based, root-cause, whole-systems approaches to care in a rapidly evolving health landscape.
Through five comprehensive, 100% online, self-paced training tracks, IFNA students develop advanced clinical competencies in six key areas. These include whole-body systems thinking, root cause analysis, functional and conventional diagnostic testing including nutrigenetics, therapeutic elimination diets, and personalized food plans, evidence-informed supplementation, culinary nutrition, and mind-body modalities that support sustainable behavior change.
